Had a thought. I believe the Gehn shard allows you to use the same account on multiple computers at the same time. Currently, new players need two cell phones to be logged in twice.

To be logged in twice allows you to film your own event(like I have done in the past) and more easily create a hood with a different name than the person who runs it(Heritage Night Guy runs events in the hood "Heritage Night".) What do people think about this idea?

I know this would cost Cyan donation money(if it's a good enough idea I would be willing to donate specifically for it) and could pose a security risk(denial of service attack) but I thought it's worth bringing up just the same.

The service used to send and validate codes via SMS during account creation is run by Facebook. However, it does not require a Facebook account to use it and you don't really see that Facebook is involved when you use it.

Right
thanks for answering.

By the way.
HOW Does it benefit them then? I mean when no account creation is involved.
Just curious

Do you mean "How does it benefit Facebook?" It doesn't really, for now: It's an API that they provide, intended for logging in to applications that FB kind of hopes you will then link to Facebook (thereby giving them more traffic). They also have a small incentive in that if you already have the cell number tied to a FB account then it can shorten the authentication process. Currently Facebook provide the SMS service completely free of charge, which is what makes it usable for MOULa. From August 2018, they will start to charge standard SMS rates, but only for applications that require more than 100,000 messages per month. Because MOULa is using it only for account creation and not for every log in, it's highly unlikely that any charge will ever be incurred.
