Ahnonay MOULa - Can I Do It Myself

So I'm currently playing Path of the Shell (via Gehn Shard) and I'm at the point where I need to get to the 4th Ahnonay. I remembered from off-line there should have bee a second control in the Tower, but it's not there in the on-line verison.

After a bit of research it seems that this is one of those instances where you need a friend to help you out.

So, I'm guessing there isn't a way to get to sphere 4 by yourself in the on-line version of the game?

Correct. Apparently this age was always intended to be this way to promote collaboration between players but was modified by the addition of the extra control to make it playable in the single player game.

So where is this extra control? This is the lever in the stone tower which pushes the age into 4.
the one I am playing (alone) has the wheel but no lever and there are no other players

Actually there is a way to do it "alone" although I am not sure if it still works in Gehn. If you have access to 2 computers, Gehn used to allow a sign-on with the same user ID on each computer. I had 2 different avatars and used separate avatars on each computer. I was able to solve Ahnonay without needing another person involved. When i get a moment I will see if this approach still works.
