Are there any organizations that are Anti-Bahro? And if there isn't does some one want to start one? I don't want to start one just curious.

Thanks,
Vicki

Yeah, the Bahro are in the middle of a civil war... So you'll probably find that most people hate at least some of them.

Some of us hate the Bahro are trying to kill us, others hate the Bahro that are trying to kill THOSE Bahro.

But most of us hate some of them.

Seriously, though, let's not found another organization proponing the negative of something. That's like saying to someone: "Hello there, my name isn't Joe." I mean, seriously, it's ridiculous. You can be against something all you want, but if you're not FOR something in its stead, you're not really accomplishing anything other than myopia.

EDIT: Just thought of the classic snowclone: "All of us hate a few of them. Most of us hate some of them. Some of us hate most of them. And a few of us hate all of them."

That was not the question. She wasn't saying that she wanted to start one. Just wondered if there was one. Organized in some way.

Has anyone noticed that except for release weeks, the cavern just isn't very busy anymore? Seems to correlate a bit with the death of the ADM maybe. Hmmm.

Hmmm I don't think so. I am pretty sure most (including myself) didn't come to the cavern for the ADM, we came for new content and to explore new Ages. Also, I remember the cavern was very active before the ADM was formed, just ask the Greeters. Now that we know when new content/ages are going to be released it is only logical to conclude the cavern will be less active between episode.

I know.

And I was advocating not doing so.

And if you believe that, I've got a letter to sell to you.

Seriously. Correlation does not imply causation. Learn and understand.

Only because the death of the ADM movement correlated with the "birth" of the episodic system. Before the ADM died, there were no "between release weeks." More or less. So there's not much use comparing.

Sydney, listen to me carefully.

I hope, very, very much, that this question you've just asked is simply that: a question, a flight of curiosity, and nothing more.

Because if you try to start another *group*, my gut instinct tells me it will not go well. This is not to discourage you, but I said the exact same thing about the ADM, and I was proved right.

To even start a group with "Anti-" in the title is inherently very agressive and confrontational. If anybody starts another Anti-anything, so help me God, I will be against them all the way, and here's why: a group that is aggressively and forcefully against something will almost always spawn a reactionary group that will end up being for the thing the other group is against. We have seen that this does not end well for anyone, for a host of reasons. That doesn't mean making groups is bad. But there is a big, big difference than walking up to someone and saying "I'm not a supporter of the president" and walking up to and saying "I despise the President and am against him." You will get very different reactions. One is good and spawns debate, one is confrontational and causes strife. The opinion of the person making the statement doesn't change, but how it's presented alters the reception of the idea.

A warning to all would-be group starters: think about why you are starting another group. If it's to cause a ruckus and get people together to be against something, you're doing it for the wrong reason.

Sounds like Calam's starting an anti-"anti" group. I disagree with him, so should my group be anti-"anti-'anti,'" or just pro-"anti"?

...

Okay I'm done
