The June 2010 calendar wallpaper image is of the Er Cana Canyons. I like the mixture of light and shade in the image as well as how it encapsulated the diversity in the Age with the Tri-Stalk plants, scrub bush, grass, and winding rock formations.

Go to http://uruexplorer.blogspot.com/ to see it and some comparisons between Er Cana's canyons and images of Zion National Park.

Enjoy!

Wow!!! Almak... What a breathtaking view and excellent choice again, this time!!!... :P

And by viewing the Zion Narrows one could imagine Cyan having been inspired by
those for Er'cana and other ages... Thanks again very much, dear Almak... :D

Very nice

That comparison you did with Zion, is remarkably similar.

Great shot.

Almak, I always look forwards to your calendar; you have a good eye and often get angles or views that I wouldn't think of. You'll always find your calendar on my main desktop, and at work, as well. Many thanks for keeping up the good work!

Shorah,

Thank you all for your comments. I wanted to respond personally to each of you:

janaba1 - I wouldn't be shocked if Cyan used The Narrows for inspiration when designing Er Cana.

laughingpineapple - Thanks for the comments! Also, I liked the pictures you posted on the forums. Thanks for sharing.

Dan K - Thanks! Do you have any similar landscapes in Australia similar to Er Cana? Also, how's the Winter going for ya? :-)

veralun - Thanks, as always, for your comments.

Wafna - It's always nice to hear from you. Thanks for the message. Hope that work image speeds the day along.

Zenguy - Anytime! I've never been to New Zealand but I've seen pictures. What a stunningly beautiful country you live in.

Amrita - I appreciated your comment. It made me smile. You are most certainly welcome.

As an FYI to everyone, I'm working on a high resolution screen saver of a certain MOUL Age. I created some lower resolution (and quality) ones many years ago and posted them here: http://www.uruexplorers.com/about/downloads.php. Feel free to take a peak. The new ones will be 1600x1200 resolution. At a future point I may add music to them.

If I can get hold of Deg I may post these creations on his website since I haven't had time to get my own up and running. I was thinking of maybe releasing a new screen saver each quarter. As always, I am open to persuasive reasoning as to which Age to work on :-).

It was great to hear from all of you. Thanks for you comments.

Sincerely,

The screen saver should be good :D
Something better than the xp logo flying over my work computer monitor.

Winter here is terrible, too much rain

I don't know of any sights around Australia that are like Er'cana

Meanwhile, there is a bit of land out in the middle of Australia like Minkata. hehe

Hey all,

I apologize for not getting this out. We have been moving the past week and my internet connectivity was cancelled at our previous home and our current home will not have it for another few days. I actually do have a calendar wallpaper prepared but did not get it posted soon enough. I will try to get it on the site in the next day or two via my connection from work.

Thanks for your patience.

Sincerely,
