what are lake pellets?

I'm kinda new to MOUL and i heard something about lake pellets. What are pellets and what do they do?

There is one place in MOULa where you have to produce pellets of a certain quality to advance the game. When the mechanisms are no longer needed for this task, you can vary the formula and produce pellets that are supposed to eventually brighten the light of the lake. Or you can produce pellets that explode. You get points for each pellet that you drop into the lake water. The points you get per pellet depends on the formula you use. I don't think exploding pellets get many points at all. These points can be added to any neighborhood imager to add to the neighborhood pellet point total, and they are visible on your KI if you haven't added them to an imager.

How do you produce pellets?

There is a machine located somewhere which will enable you to bake a set of pellets by setting the recipe, using three "ingredients". Having baked them after a time, you can carry them to another place in the game to 'measure' or test them, thus earning points, then drop them in a silo, which is part of the Lake. You can post your points in a bevin and set up a little competition. Good pellets = high points, Bad pellets = low points (they explode when dropped).

These pellets are made of a nutritional compound which feed the light-giving algea which lives in the Lake and will eventually light up the entire Cavern.

And this pellet machine is located in....

[spoiler]Er'cana, located in the Watchers Pub. The machine is at the far end of the Age, which you will have to compete a number of puzzles to finally reach.[/spoiler]

5-5-5 is usually good for turning pellets unstable. Just don't put one in your pocket.
